Dream: A lady (whom I used to work with) and myself were working in an office in the desert near a highway. It was a warm and quiet day and we were both looking outside the window. We saw on the ground a shadow (which looked like a cartoon shadow) of a huge eagle just circling above us and it was huge. We looked up and after a while, the eagle landed across the highwa y road which was just across from our office and then turned into an old man. He was a very old Indian man in one of those nappy type arrangements with a long white beard. With him he had a dark wooden box. Myself and the lady became quite competitive for the old man's attention and his box. The old man was very peaceful and non-threatening, but the box he carried seemed quite evil. A few things happened in between (but I have forgotten them) and we knew or were told that under no circumstance were we to interfere with the box. Of course we opened the box and inside we found a black statue of an angel with wings. It was very old and seemed like it had huge significance. Once we took the statue out of the box, it grew in size and ended up as big as the ceiling . That is what I can remember of the dream.
Quentin's Diagnosis: Dear Lisa, What a great dream! Looking outside of the window with a lady you must have had a spiritual connection with, to see a huge eagle circling. The eagle flies the highest of all birds and as with your dream, also has a strong spiritual and shamanistic connection as it changes into the old man. Trusting the male aspect of yourself is the issue. You're not allowing your spirit to soar or realising the power of the spirit. People who identify with eagles can be frightened of the heights they could soar to. The box signifies competitiveness, unresolved sibling rivalry. The box is evil, a pandora's box perhaps, don't worry, the man is peaceful. It shows you have a fear of the dark side, negativity and the unknown. The black angel with wings is a good omen though that is working for you in this life. It could be the fall-out of a past life where you did great spiritual work which was unpaid. Black absorbs power. The power of a woman is something men are afraid of. Lisa Palmer's personal power is not to be afraid of. Trust your female instinct.
