Samantha (December 2000 - February 20001)

Dream:I was doing a tandem skydive and I had no preparation at all. But I wasn't too worried about it, though I was a little bit frightened. So as we are falling I'm feeling ok and I'm watching the ground get closer and closer. The guy I'm doing the tandem with tells me to pull the cord. So I'm reaching for it but I cant get it. And I'm quite annoyed that I wasn't told that I would have to pull it or how to do it anyway. The deadline comes and goes and I didn't pull it in time but I get it just before we reach the ground and we float to the ground. And donšt die. Then the boss of the skydiving is really angry at me and is saying that I should have died, and something like if it were a real skydive, even though in the dream it was real, that that would have been the end of me. But I think I was most upset about not being told that I would have to pull the cord.

And the second dream is a bit stranger. I was walking in a suburb that was familiar to me and all the houses are big and grand, but the suburb has a dark or gray feel to it, but I'm not scared or anything its just dull. Then a big dog came and bit me. It was oddly clamped to me around the area of my mouth. And I just couldn't get this dog off. I was screaming hysterically and I was very frightened. An old couple were walking by and I was pleading to them to help me get the dog off. But they tried to avoid me, like they didn't want to help me. I kept pleading to them. And I asked at least hold my hand and get me home. And they reluctantly the old lady agreed and held my hand till I got home. I got home and my uncle told me who the dog belonged to. It belonged to a wealthy vet, who had a chain of vet clinics. So I go to tell her what had happened and to show her my scars. To get there I had to travel a fair distance, I walked a bit and again the area I was walking in was familiar and I also took a bus. When I get there, I see she is very busy, but I manage to get to see her. I tell her what happened and she isn't apologetic, she isn't anything, just complacent I guess. So I'm a bit upset she doesn't do anything but I just go on and forget about it.

Quentin's Diagnosis: Dear Samantha, What this dream is showing you is what you can learn from your boss. With the deadline that comes and goes, it's a great dream showing you your instincts are sometimes better than other people's. The second dream starts off with houses, symbols of the soul. (See houses on our web site under 'dream reference' H). Gray is showing you the level at which your traveling - (See 'dream planes' on our web site). The dog is the symbol of the male. It seems that you have a fear of use and abuse by men or male energy. You plead for help in your dream and in the end the old lady (maybe your auntie), takes your hand and leads you home. You show you uncle your scars. What scars do you have? Then the wealthy vet (female) seems complacent on hearing your story so you forget about it. Nobody seems interested or takes you seriously. Nobody can heal your scars but you. Get over it and take hold of your life and God bless.
