Dream:
I dreamt I was at my parent's house and standing in the driveway. The brother (Michael) of the love of my life (David) suddenly appeared at my parents house and appeared like he had rushed to arrive there. Michael was also eating at the time. When I asked Michael was he was doing at my parent's house he said "I didn't want to miss the party and I wanted to arrive on time". I said "what party?, I didn't think I was having one". In the end, I invited him in and the next part of the dream was us sitting on a picnic blanket and his wife was sitting next to him. I remember looking at Michael's wife and thinking "so he is married now and isn't it amazing that she is a lot like me in the way I look and my ethnic background". I felt surprised in my dream. Then the dream ended. It left me feeling a little confused by the dream especially as I don't often dream of Michael but more of David who I actually fancy.
Very soon after the dream I received an email from a guy called David and it said in the subject matter "sorry I haven't responded sooner but I have been busy". It ended up being a spam email but it triggered an emotional response and made me realise that I wasn't quite over David and it made me wonder about the meaning of that dream hence this email.
Interpretation:
Your dream is significant because whenever we dream about our parents home we are regrouping a past experience. The driveway is an aspect of the front of the house and how we present ourselves to the world as a family unit. The brother of your love is also part of a family unit and he not David is there, also eating...a form of nourishment and often how families spend time together as they extend the members.
When we make a commitment to a person in life our family merges with theirs. The picnic and his wife may merely suggest that you all have a lot in common although you never know what is in store for you and perhaps you ought to get to know both boys Michael may have inner qualities that are more suitable for your true needs or just be a welcome addition to the bigger picture.
COMMENT:
Your interpretation is interesting as it was Michael who was initially interested in me and then I saw his brother (David) and was completely bowled over. I had to make it obvious (very gently of course - I am a nice person afterall) that my interest was in David and not Michael. So yes there is a real life link which you have interpreted in my dream. Mind you, nothing has happened with either of them which is symptomatic of my love life and the root cause of my dreams ! Aaahh....love, never easy but truly wonderful when it finally arrives.
