Dream: I frequently dream that I am chewing gum. Sometimes the piece of chewing gum is quite a big piece and it seems to fill my mouth. I always want to spit it out or take it out of my mouth. The gum never tastes fresh, but it's like I've been chewing that piece of gum for hours and all the taste has gone from the gum. When I take the gum out from my mouth, bits of it always stick to my teeth and I have to use my fingers to pull the gum off my teeth. But I never feel like I have completely removed all the gum from my teeth and this frustrates me. No matter how much I try to get all the gum out of my mouth there always seems to be bits of it left on my teeth.
Quentin's Diagnosis: Chewing gum in a dream, is a way of assimilating facts. Chewing it over. Teeth are there to represent intelligence and maturity. In your dream, the gum has no flavour - which says that something you are doing is not to your taste. Residue sticks, which is a lesson to be learnt in letting life get too bland. Find an outlet for yourself at the end of the day so you're not still thinking about things well after the event and carrying those feelings around with you, then you can bite into something new. Your higher-self is telling you to ask yourself 'what appeals to you? what do you like?'. Surround yourself in things of your own taste instead of putting up with mediocrity, until you loose interest in life.
